All Things Mk5 > Performance Modifications

Nearly finished, thoughts on final tweeks !

(1/4) > >>

Carrera2RS:
Current Spec

Pirelli 58 3 door.

Chassis :
Bilstein  PSS10, WALK, TT alloy lower arms and ball joints, TD 8x18, VWR front brakes, neuspeed ARB's, All camber and ride heights tweeked adjusted and now finished.

Engine:
TT bottom engine mount, Miltek TBE, REVO stage 2, K&N panel filter, Forge DV, Neuspeed quickshift.

I am unhappy with the vibration of the THS bottom mount, would like to see how I can reduce wheel hop and manage vibration ?
Quite interested in Whiteline bumpsteer kit to be fitted at the same time ?
I also find the engine seems particularly sweet and crisp most of the time but occasionally seems a little fluffy, is it worth changing the Forge DV for a late original DV ?

Tks for thoughts

IMHO I would be running the latest revision DV over the Forge one.  :happy2:

What reason? Thanks  :happy2:

Have you thought about running some "semi-track" tyres? More grip should equal less or no wheel hop.

Yoko ad08 or maybe Hankook rs2?

Stickier tyres can create more wheel hop I've found.  All depends how much power you are running too.

The hankook rs2 tyres are now discontinued.  The rs3 replacements are not UK road legal.  Damn annoying as they were a top cheap track tyre.
