Simon's Edition30

I've been lurking around the forums for a little while now and I thought it was about time to introduce my wonderfull Edition30. I made Pistonheads my home for six or seven months with the money saved waiting for the right ED30 to come along. It had to be manual , dimond black , five door , on an 08 plate with a full VWSH and a low mileage , clean with no mods. I went to view a few over the months but none were as advertised or with too many miles on the clock. After months of waiting suddenly there it was. Mint condition , 08 plate with 18500 miles on the clock and just about the right price and would you believe - one carefull lady owner :happy2:
Anyway I picked the car up in July and I have to say I love it. It's a fantastic car and a pleasure to drive :driver:

As you can see I have allready added some small mods with more to follow......

I'm no photographer but here are some pics

One of my first mods was to sort out the front and rear badge. The front badge was easy. As you know they can be found on ebay and various other online stores.
The rear badge is a different story though. No one sells them. It was obvious I was gonna have to do it myself....No way was I brave enough to remove the badge straight off the boot handle incase it broke - so I had to remove the boot handle.

First I removed the plastic cover inside the boot.
Then I had to unbolt and move the wiper motor out the way to be able to get to the screws that held the boot handle in place.

Once I had the handle it was a straightforward case of carbon wraping the handle and spraying the badge.

Last week I had the car remapped. Revo stage1 was my choice. It has turned the car into a beast. She pulls like a train now. The next stage on the slippery slope will be some new springs - it needs lowering. Then a miltek non res and a twintake to help her breath.... :driver:  :happy2:

Since owning the car I have become obbsessed with cleaning it. My wife thinks i'm a loon.
Anyway I like to make sure my exhaust is permanantly clean. I use autosol followed be autoglym wheelseal.

Today it's time to get her winter coat on , so a good coating of autoglym HD wax is just the ticket. This was all after a good wash , clay , and a coating of ultra deep shine.
