GTI Ed30 idle surging when hot

Hi

Have developed a problem whereby when the engine is hot and idling the idle surges very slowly up to 1500 and then drops back to just over 1000, this repeats until I turn off and then restart the engine.

Any ideas what this could be.

Do they have ICV's? Sticky Idle Control Valve?

PCV failure by the sound of it..
