Dismantling a MK 5 airbag/airbag cover

Anyone know how i dismantle the airbag from the cover and can i reuse the airbag in a mk 6 airbagcover??  :notworthy:

Jake when you have the airbag in front of you, you'll notice 4 bolts which you need to undo once they are off the metal plate will come off with a bit of wiggling :pomppomp: not you Jake :grin: the airbag.

The airbag should go back unto the mk6 one has they are roughly the same shape.

I had my eye set on the 4 bolts but was not sure that i would not get away with removing them without getting 8 springs in my face  :grin:

The springs are not tensioned so they'll be non in your face mate :happy2: just take the wiring loom off before you start and make sure you know where they go back on.

How much is a part of the airbag and how much is a part of the cover. Asi plan to buy a mk 6 cover and fit the airbag in
