.:R Thirty Two
« on: September 25, 2011, 09:10:47 pm »
Thought i would stick up a quick build thread of my R32. Wont be to everyones taste but youve gota build your car for yourself  :happy2:. Bought it just over a year ago now, flew down to exeter and brought it home. Pretty good spec, bucket seats, sat nav, winter pack, highline dash etc. Came with the private plate and non res milltek  :haha:

Took it to crail and drove it like it should be driven, ran a 13.6 so was pretty happy with that.

Then over the winter collected some goodies to get fitted in spring.

Fitted everything in the one day. Coils and brakes on, r8 calipers with 362mm discs  :D

And with the wheels on, first day so still to settle a bit here

Few more pics

Evoms intake to add to the noise  Some blue coil pack covers to.

Did a bit of detailing  :p  Total self confessed cleaning pervert.

Us spec rear lights and back bumper, wee rolling shot aswell.

Four wheel laser alignment

Managed to win best mk5 golf at gti international on the sunday

And heres a quick pic of the winter wheels, some speedline turinis, pretty lightweight and a nice snug fit over the brakes  :OMG:

Yeah the brakes dont half work, not that the standard brakes were that bad right enough. The us spec rears dont have any colours on the inside circle of the light, so there all clear like the reverse light on the standard lights. Just had to wrap the bulbs in the right colour of lens tape to make them glow as indicators and fog etc.

Looking good mate.. I myself prefer the winter wheels as I love Turinis.. But she's got a nice Euro stance for the summer.. :happy2:

Oh and 13.6 for a stock R32 with Milly is by far the quickest (by a mile) I've heard of from a non blown R32.. Is that right?

Even Rupo couldnt manage that with his Tuned Non Turbo'd R at the Pod...

Love the winter wheels, something simple and effective about them! WOuld you paint the calipers blue for a more OEM look? either way im envious of the brakes!!

Cheers for all the comments guys. I no the alphards a a marmite kinda wheel, especially with this forum being quite into power more than the euro scene, gota admit i like both thats why ive been looking for some lightweight wheels for winter / non show weekends.

Yeah ran quite consistently at 13.6 / 13.7 then went back up with the alphards on and ran a 14.1, but with the staggered widths, stretched tyres and the weight that was to be expected. Had the back seats out and no spare wheel, and the milltek.
