Snowfoam Question
autoperfection.com:
As JPC say, the Valet Pro is perfectly safe on all surfaces and is completely wax friendly so it won't strip off any of your hard work!
When you have a lance attached to the pressure washer it does somewhat reduce the pressure, so you can get quite close to the car without any worries, although we wouldn't recommend getting too close!
Hosing off with water shouldn't be a problem, the one benefit to pressure washing off though is that all of the surface dirt that's been lifted by the foam is easily washed away under some pressure, but I can't see you having too much trouble just hosing them off!
Hope this helps

It all depends on the pressure output of your washer, if it's a hobby washer then as long as you keep it moving and not static, you can get quite close, however, if it's a super-powered industrial jet blaster you might need to stand ten feet away!!

Thanks everyone for your help much appreciated
I am only a hobby washer is karcher K2.900M - 100 bar
JPC:
yep, largely on most newer cars, with a sound paint job, you can be sure as long as your not really close, you wont have any problems.
dont go more than 4-5 inches to the paint and keep it moving
