Slipping clutch :-(

Got some good news today it turns out its not my clutch but my accelerator pedal was showing a fault!!!
Fault cleared,oil topped up,washer fluid topped up

Golfman im having identical issues to what you have described. I hope it is something like a fault code as Im not looking forward to parting with £500+ on a clutch.
Hopefully will be having the car scanned this week so i will report back. :happy2:

I fitted a new set of gti pedals and i remember turning my ignition on and the dash coming up with a workshop message,i tried to push the accelerator pedal and got nothing,then tried pushing the clip on the pedal in more and the workshop message went away and back to normal,but obviously it still had registered a fault so thats maybe why my revcounter was not working right :surprised:
