fitting cat back milltek exhaust

Yeah, clamps are definitely good quality, the ones supplied with mine are like this -

They do the job but I will be replacing them with the type you have, tbh I think the whole set up is a tad on the expensive side, having said that the quality will be top notch from Milltek, although I'm a bit confused why both ends haven't got splits in them?  Without them the clamp is unlikely to compress the pipe enough to hold it tight.

Just waiting for the fitted pictures and sound bite........ :popcornsoda:

one end on mine goes inside the split end on the end of my centre pipe...hence only one end on the adapter is split

So there is a split end on the Milltek part of the exhaust?  Both the joining ends I have are solid pipe so I presume that if I contact Milltek and explain my requirements then the pipe I receive will have splits on both ends, with that in mind I think perhaps the 24 quid is actually worth it.   :happy2:

Cheers buddy.

yes... i didnt actually tell them thats how my exhaust was... i actually thought all exhausts would fit like that so maybe i've been lucky or maybe thats the only one milltek do?

At a guess they will know the make up of exhaust components, but I will bare that in mind when I ring them tomorrow.
