home brew induction/cai for mk5 gti - anyone tried?

First pic is not my car but exactly the same CAI as mine,

Only paid £70 for the intercooler brand new so was worht taking a chance on it.

Also will try and get a pic of my downpipe as the welding and material is better than more expensive items i have seen and purchased in the past.

Do you have any dyno readouts of how your car performs with it all on? Inlet temps?

Not yet but once the dwonpie is fitted im off to have a stage 2 map.
From the Liqiud 2 gauge the car normally runs 10-12 degress above ambient, but not done any logging,
Also a calculated bhp reading through the liquid 2 still sees 250bhp on a stage 1 map.

lol i think considering there aren't more horror stories like mine the fault is with me rather than the product! plus from looking at photos it looks like the 8P has it's brake fluid reservoir in a different place to the Golf
