mk5 gti quick shift - OE parts?

Having had an 02S 6 speed gearbox in my mk2 golf - I used a mk1 TT 6 speed part on top of the gear vox selector as a tried and tested method of shortenig the throw.

I foolishly ordered one of these for my new mk5 but have found out this afternoon that they are a mirror image of each other and so wont work.

Is there an OE linkage to shorten a mk5 gti throw - like I did to my last car - or is it aftermarket only?

I believe that the ED30/S3 OEM shifter bracked gives a shorter throw that the standard GTI one. Prob best to get it confirmed though...

I dunno.  What's the part number of the ed30 shifter and I can check that against my spare tts one?
