R32 calipers vs Porsche 4 pots

(1/3) > >>

vagmaster:
Hi fellow fanatics...

Can anyone help me on sizes between these two brake calipers please. Which one is bigger in measurement.
Currently running R32 set up front & rear, but after a 4 pot caliper since car is mapped to 330bhp now.
I like the look of the Porsche 4 pot with the Porsche sign etc, but if it isn't bigger in size then it is pointless as the R32's are doing the job good enough.  :driver:

Thanks

Tfsi_Mike:

The discs are smaller 312mm.   I have gone from the Cupra 345mm setup and must say they Porsche setup performs great.

I also benifited from the car feeling more agile as loads of unsprung weight was saved

Tfsi_Mike:

Just realised you was asking about the big Cayenne calipers before was you not?

My above post refers to the NQS BBK (Brembo Porsche 4 pots)

vagmaster:
Thanks mike,

So are you saying to put back on the ed30 discs and porsche will go straight on and car will also feel lighter etc. I suppose the R32's are heavy.

SteveP:
I found the 4 pot porkers where better than the R32's when running with some better pads and j-hooked disks.

As mike says the weight also makes a positive difference to the feel of the car  :happy2:
