Recommend a good Golf compatible cycle car rack?

If you get a rear fitting rack as opposed to a roof one, be sure to get a light-board. You will get a ticket soon or later otherwise for covering your lights and/or number plate. The Police are tightening up on this due to increased use of ANPR.

Seems to me the thule aka VW high up boot rack is the better option - I'm gonna wait til my new bike arrives and test drive the easiness of putting inside the car than out.
I think my bigger problem will be protecting my lovely seats from mud!!! ANPR wise I agree but if I was to go for a rear rack I will opt for the type that raises above the reg and lights.

I am lucky that mine sits above the number plate, so you can still see it and read it fully. There is just a support bar that goes below it and sits on the lip of the bumper. But it is a large loop do does not cover the number plate recess.

It's the lights as well you need to worry about. This is something a lot of RPU officers have a real thing about and they will ticket for it :wink:
