PU engine bushes or rubber...

HI all

noticed that some of my suspension bushes and my lower engine mount/subframe bush (the large round one.lol) is looking quite sorry for itself and mechanic advised i bring in replacements for when i service the car just prior to its MOT in the summer and looking around it appears that you can get PU bushes too...

is it worth getting PU bushes over rubber bushes? car is primarily used a motorway commuter vehicle....

any advice is appreciated....
