Nevermind you Ozzies and Kiwis. Someone appears to have put strange hatch\passenger ejector mechanisms on the rear of the car. What on earth are they for? Wind brakes?

/Runs for cover from the 5dr Golf R contingent.

some happy snaps after work today. Wanted to test out my phones camera (nexus 4)

pretty happy I dont have a lip right about now....seeing how low it is already

Front will be coming down a tad more, maybe 1cm or so to make it look right with the rear

AND SO FAR, NO SCRUBBING!!! Maybe its due to the OEM wheels? I know for sure if I were to put on any other wheel/tyre combo I will DEF need guards rolled and/or flared otherwise it will rub

35,000km service coming up. Shall be installing just a few more goodies. Nothing major.

Forge oil catch can
Forge DV-to-intake silicone hose (many thanks to Graeme from GNJ Motorsports)
Forge DV
Audi R8 coilpacks
NGK PFR7B Double Platinum spark plugs

Will be putting on 19" SSR SP1's soon along (when I buy them lol) with Brembo 6pot calipers (355x32 slotted rotors)

I wish build threads like this were banned.  Makes me want an R so badly.

You need to get a pic of the KW's wound all the way down.  :signLOL:

I gotta say that looking at both Maestro Hurdy's 'R' and this one, I would definitely choose one of these over any Mk6 or Mk7 or Scirocco R.  :notworthy:

Thanks guys.

Maxitrol : I don't have a front lip at the moment but yeah, pretty glad it hasnt been scraping everywhere. I am able to get over 99% of all speedhumps and I don't have to approach it from the side just to clear it either so that's a positive I guess (or negative...depending on which way you look haha)

VRSalex : KW's all the way down? Hahaha the rears are on its highest setting already and look! If I wind it all the way down front and rear, it'll look like I have bags! hahaha

RedRobin : Thanks for the kind words mate!

I wish we have the RS3 in Australia as well......having been in a TT-RS I have to say the 2.5 TFSI engine sounds so damn good....somewhere in between a VR6 and the noise of the 2L TFSI

Regards winding KW's (or any coilover) ALL the way down is not recommended! This is according to how I have been advised by VW Racing and JKM.
