MK5 R32 MPG ADVICE

A few of  the members on here have MK5 R32's. I've seen a couple for sale that look tidy but the MPG worries me a bit and was wondering if anyone could give me some realistic figures? Would it be comparable to a GTi thats had the REVO stage 1 or is it gonna just drink the petrol station dry?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

there was an ex r32 owner who posted on here a while back, basically he went to pick up his new car in his r32 and got something like 25 mpg there, on the way back in his new GTi he got something like 33 mpg, figures Aran exact as I can't remember for sure but you get the idea ,  also a mate of Mine travels basically the same route to work as me in his r32, I get about 26 mpg, he gets about 19 mpg ( rush hour traffic )

Found the post it was hufcforpromotion , he got 26 I'm the R and 36 in the golf (Editon 30)
