JPC:
i was referring to a machine polish on a porsche being a nightmare.

JPC:
with a machine polish on that kinda paint it requires incredible patience. it will probably be sticky paint and its a nightmare to work on with a machine, but done right its fine!

Thats what I was told by the official Detailer before the detail. I asked him on his thoughts and he said if I can get away without a rotary etc then I should.

I was rather concerned though.... After I had clayed the car and rewashed the water was clinging to the Paint... Like something had sprayed silicone spray on the paint... Maybe its just th extra paint cleanser I used... Was worrying though...lol

JPC:
sounds exactly like sticky paint. its sh*te stuff. As much as it to do with the paint, its just as much as to do with the polishing compound your using.

After speaking with rich and clark at polished bliss, they sent me some samples of Gloss-it compounds. They work very well with sticky paint and dont seem to struggle half as much as 3M, menzerna or Megs would. Its absolute gold dust if working on cars prone to sticky paint.

But as you said, probably best by hand, and then masking some marks that are untouchable by hand! ;) anyways...sorry to deviate, usefull info i hope tho!;)
