james:
im fitting it my self, so should be fine.

soon find out!.

james:
OK well I changed the engine/gearbox  in a couple of days on my own was rather easy really.

Removed the front end / loom / pipes/ drive shafts so I could get my nacked old engine out

No more engine woohoo  :drinking:

Prepped my new engine,  removed  S3 gearbox and cut up engine loom where they had ripped it out of a stolen car.  Then started moving over my mods.

Then I removed both clutchs/fly wheels was a mega pain in the butt.  Here is the state of my clutch, it has done 3k,

Installed clutch on new engine

The hardest part was getting the gearbox back on!  So hard to line up on your own! Nearly killed me!

Reinstalled engine and connected everything back up + bleed the clutch.

Had loads of while smoke coming out of the back when I first started it up, then realised it was all the oil from the last engine!

Just need to get my map changed then can’t wait to go for a proper trash!

These CDL engines sound sweet compared to the AXX and BWA

scopes:

Cant wait to see how this goes...

rich83:
CDL? So that's basically the same as the ed30 unit?
