Who has remapped my Ed30?

(1/2) > >>

I'm pretty sure my ed 30 has been remapped by a previous owner.

From a steady 20 leptons (to take out any fluctuations from a standing start) to a 100 leptons the Ed 30  is at least 4 seconds faster than my standard GTi. Eg, 14.9 seconds v 10.8 secs.

How do I find out who has done the remap though? I would like it if it been a bluefin jobby as I could self alter (for want of a better phrase) , but it would be nice to find out just at what state the remap is at..

Any ideas folks?

Take it to your local vag tuning specialist and they should be able to tell you.

I'm not doubting you, but how would they be able to do that? Just wondering .......?

Hedge:
My guess is they would look at the values the map is requesting or somewhere in there is a signature of some description.

To be honest though I would expect an Ed30 to be quicker than a standard GTI.

some tuners leave tags in the maps, the tuner that reads the map will tell you if its a map thats worth keeping (if they understand how to read a map and understand the individual maps contained within it)

If its a map from a big brand such as Revo/APR etc.. then its unlikely they will be able to read it. If they can then its not going to make much sense.
