Have to say that I think Alonso seems to have improved in his attitude to a few seasons ago, maybe im missing the attitude that was made more apparent before, but he doesnt seem to bad as before and i never particularly liked him because of the attitude but he does seem better now.

As for Mclaren, this season they hired Sam Michaels to improve their trackside operations... would it be safe to assume hes failing... miserably!! I'd also question how safe martin whitmarsh's position is as well, as they are not doing a good job at all when it comes to strategy, pitstops and generally giving the drivers the best opportunity possible.

May as well bring up the contracts and silly season time... i would love to see lewis go elsewhere to see how he stacks up as i dont think mclaren are much cop anymore, yes they seem to develop a car reasonably well, but they're not the best at making progress and not good at stringing a good weekend together either. As to where i'd like to see him go... i dont know really and the more you think about it, the more it looks like there isnt really an alternative, even tho seats will be available, i just cant see him paired up with the possibilities that would come with it

Frenzy:
i feel McLaren have gone down hill ever since Ron retired from Team Principle - i bet he could crack some skulls when he needed to and McLaren need a good skull cracking right now, how they've managed to waste the advantage they had at the start of the season is beyond me

MC71:
It's contract time in F1 (really means "silly season")

So far I've read Vettel off to Ferrari in 2014, Hamilton off to Ferrari/Red Bull or 100 million to stay put for 5 years, Perez off to Ferrari, Schu' retiring (again), Massa to get the boot (no point putting money on that one, s**te odds), Di Resta off to Mercedes, Kimi to Mercedes, Webber to Ferrari  blah blah blah........

Love this site, always good for a laugh and a good discussion!!

I don't see Alonso leaving Ferrari anytime soon. He fits in extremely well in the Ferrari famiglia there and seems a nicer person as a result - More like he was originally.

Webber doesn't even begin to fit in at Ferrari - He's simply from the wrong culture!

Schumi has been showing glimmers of his old self and surely wouldn't quit while his potential is now re-emerging. Didn't he come back to be a winner again?

Kimi and or Di Resta to Mercedes makes sense but more so for Di Resta as I think he already drives for Mercedes in DTM.

Seb Vettel can choose whoever he wants - He's still at his peak, just!

I can imagine Lewis at Red Bull more than at Ferrari.

I reckon Jenson will stay at McLaren - He's so very British.

Every driver would relish driving for Ferrari as they are the primo team overall. Ferrari virtually gave birth to F1 back in the day - They are the big daddy  :notworthy: Red cars rule!

MC71:
^^^^ I think a lot of the "whispers" are to do with brinkmanship, probably created by the drivers and or their reps'. Fully expect for the big guns ie. Vettel, Alonso and Hamilton to be exactly where they are now next year (just with a few more quid in the bank).

Think that if Schu' does go Di Resta is a shoe in because of his links with Mercedes.

Completely agree, ANYONE would want a seat at Ferrari. Nothing to do with the History though, it's entirely because their RED!
