The Red Bulls could have thought much harder IMO, but you can see why with Mercedes though, both Lewis and Nico were marginal on fuel.  If they had let Nico shoot off and chase down the leaders he probably would have ran out of fuel or not had enough for testing at the end.

.... its just not racing IMO.

If they are worried about being low on fuel for the post race inspection then there are more than the "team orders" rules that are stupid!

Thing is I don't really see team orders being anything to do with the rules. Whether in the rule book or not they've always been a feature of the sport, and a team has always, in one way or another been able to dictate which of their drivers finishes highest. The story today is that Vettel did the equivalent of shooting an unarmed man in the back.

Team orders are never going to be good for the viewer, but the only way you'd ever eradicate it is by constricting a team to one car.

two races in and already different guys on all three podium steps for each of the two races.  Starting well IMO.  The racing has been good, the cars are all mixed up performance wise.

They are part of the rules... because they are allowed to make orders  :happy2:

Ha, I know that, but I see it as being totally irrelevant if they're in the rule book or not. They still happened when they supposedly weren't allowed. It makes no difference in my opinion.

I think this year has been ruined by Pirelli. it is not about who is the best driver or who has the fastest car, it is all about which team has the best analysts and Managers. You are going to get situations like today quite often unless they change the tyre deg. What is the point of having no racing and cars doing 95 % of what they are capable of.  :stupid: I dont mind the tyres being hard to figure out but when the answer is to just mother them until the end of the race then in my opinion it is carp.  :indifferent:

The tyres were alot like this at the start of last season iirc and the teams worked them out or pirelli changed the characteristics and they were much better, so lets hope the same happens here.

Cant wait to see how this feud plays out in the next few races. I think webber will screw vettel over at some point this season, im willing to bet its his last season with redbull, so why not, he deserves it

He should have done what Anthony Davidson said and pushed Vettel out wide rather than just letting him past.

Fair play though for having the maturity to know when someone is being reckless and its just a safer option to let them past.

Entertaining race

Very :happy2:

Although the team orders do spoil it, especially this early in the season.

100% Agree!

Give them tyres they can race on!

Do they design there road tyres to work in such a small envelope?
