They're all fully painted now factory. You wouldn't need to split them to refurb them.

Better looking finish imvo

I believe they split them for this refurb Dave.

PS: thanks for the brake pads, I heard you billed Alex, so I shall pay him.  :happy2:

DaveB@Vagbremtechnic:
They didn't split yours pal....you'd need a reason to slit them and yours were on good nick.

Jonny might have confused yours with a batch of Noble ones he's just done which needed splitting but won't again.

yeh Alex had his cheque book out so I pounced!

DanGB:
Bit of an update before the big one   :driver: Few loose ends to tie up and some mapping to finish then i'll post up the results next week or so  :happy2:

Removed the aircon pump yesterday, but also installed the new APR Runner flap delete:

This goes hand in hand with the APR high flow head work that I had done last year. (http://www.goapr.com/products/cylinder_head_20t_ea113.html)

Here's the little box with them in.

Never taken the manifold off myself before, and its a pretty big job. Thankfully APR provides excellent step by step instructions.

Here is the manifold off with the flaps in. You cant really see the size of the flaps very well here.

Here it is with the flap delete.

Took about 4 hours in total, with two novices taking there time :) Fairly easy job, just a few fiddly bits, and car started ok afterwards.
Needs a mapping now to take advantage.
Unfortunately cant drive it yet as got a clunking noise from the rear hub or rear CV joint, so that needs to be fixed this week  :sad1:
