Any reason why you're going for a rotary?

DA tends to be more preferred for beginners as it's user friendly and less likely to cause paintwork damage through user technique.

Mostly because its not that expensive - I'm not too worried about paintwork damage as I am pretty mechanically minded (and you can learn anything from youtube) what do you think of the P1?

It's not as easy at it looks in a video. If your going down this route. I'd recommend getting a scrap panel to trial on first to get a hold of the technique.
