How to deal with the hosepipe ban?

I bought one of these:

Did a good job of getting the car wet initially, and had just enough power to get some of the dirt off around wheel areas, but it's not a workable option to rinse the suds off. I tried, but by the time I'd done a panel, the sudes were drying.

I had to resort to throwing buckets of water over half the car and then getting the water magnets on it quickly. I reckon I probably used more water than if i'd been allowed to use a hosepipe  :stupid:

Most pressure washers will work by suction, I believe, so just buy the appropriate intake hose and stick it in a bucket . Job done.

Oldschool, but a bucket got the suds off quickly, in fact, it was probably quicker than a hose!
