Whats best for wheel refurb?

My 05 GTI's 18" Monzas are badly in need of a refurb. They have never been done before and have loads of marks and whiteworm and a nasty grind. I have heard that it's better to have them powder coated rather than diamond cut again because it will last much longer and be cheaper. Obviously I want to spend as little as needed, so am tempted to go for powder coating. Has anyone else had this done and if so does it look pretty the much the same as they originally were. Also, can anyone recommend a good place get it done in the dorset area. Thanks.

Some pics on the first post in here of Robin's powder coated Monza's. He has also done a very handy write up regarding this very subject!  :happy2:

Thanks, but can't find the write up you mention. I saw some powder coated Monza pictures on the first page, but no write up. Can you tell me what no. page it is on please, because I don't have time to look through all the pages for it! Cheers.

I can also say A1 did a brilliant job refurbing my Monza's, just can't say the same for me looking after them properly as the white worm has returned (had the diamond cut finish not powder coated)

Thanks for that. I think powder coating has to be the way to go. I just don't know who would be best to do it in my local area (Bournemouth). If anyone has any recommendations please let me know!
