Best product for grey leather/fix/repair/feed blah blah blah
keendean:
How do you colour/feed/make look like new :) I have the Vieena Grey leather, drivers side bolster, is a little worn, and I want it looking nice.
I have fed the leather a few times, but it looks as if it needs a dye/cream/food of some sorts.
Any tips, and pics appreciated, of before and afters.
Now if it was black leather, I reckon it would be less tricky :)
Thanks
Nodz:
VW leather has a plastic coating so any feeds and creams would just sit on the top rather than do anything to leather so they are to an extent pointless.
There are a few things that people use but can't for the life of me remember what they are. I know one of them is from one of the detailers on here.
If you search leather cleaning I'm sure loads of threads will come up an tell you what products to use :happy2:

dam, I wonder why the feed was not much cop.
As it's grey, its not so much it needs cleaning, with the small cracks, it looks as it may need some dye. At 40k miles, its not looking as good as I of would liked :(
I'll get some pics up ..

Mine had some wear on the bolster and needed attention but after it got broke into and the leather ruined i got new leather put in via the insurance and put seat covers straight on. I keep meaning to get in touch with JPC as his kit got a good review from VRS Carl to keep it looking good. Also want to get something as I need to get the rears looking as close to the new fronts as possible
keendean:
Hmm, thanks, was hoping there was so magic food with colouring to try and revive. Shame, it's not a liitle more hard wearing, it lets the interior down.
I want to keep it nice, as the car has a good spec, and can't afford for it to de-value too much. I'll have a search about, and see what's out there :)
