Re Jubilee clips, use stainless steel ones - They cost a little bit more but are more durable and you can get them on and off without a VW special tool.

well a few updates...

main one, bonnet got it's locking pins in, what a neat job, I must say...

Changed over the gear shifter link with a new 42dd shifter bush, as I had been sent the wrong ones before hand, 5 gear bushes instead of 6 speed, but had to make them do till now, but job done and gear change is great  :star:

Done the number plate magnet mod, as I had only got round to get a new set of number plates, about time lol.
collected the materials, glue re-applied a couple of layers of material, just to prevent marking my front grill.!

New Revo intake fitted, with a few adjustments to help it fit better, just me being me, as I had said previously in another post...

rubber hexagon double ended with a small spacer to hold the intake in place and the coolant hose sitting on top.

with the kit came a jubilee clip, but I used or am trying the spring loaded clip, that is used oem style...

Added the forge boost hose with the new kit...  :innocent:

as for the end of the filter, I used the VW OEM tape wrap, that is normally used to wrap wires, but I was not happy with the seal, and thought it would give extra grip, so it got wrapped around to help seal the rubber hose...
which I feel much happier about, as it had come loose once or twice...
I feel if the rubber connector had have been one inch longer, it would have been a better idea to help seal... Just my thoughts, if anyone has a good geninue reason as to why they are the length they are please come forward and tell me please!

I also was not happy with the tiny little jubilee clips, so I added my own type, which again maybe over kill but it will not come of as easy, and I have good faith in them  :signLOL:

A few other we bits of attention to the finner detail...

A few carbon bits added under the bonnet, to help finish a nicer looking engine bay, in my eyes...

One of my latest mods was adding the mk6 golf GTI gear knob to my Osir gator, which is a real nice touch!

A nice new bottle opener!

What a great picture, took this at one of the latest watercooler car show, well more of a campervan show, loads of vw's campers, ya gotta love them!

My Mates 1953 dub... some pup still in great condition

A few other bits here and there but, do not get to see them  :P
