Hot air intake is not an issue to be concerned about, the VF and EVOMS both have access to outside air from the OEM slot. The VF kit forms a large box scoop/container for the outside air when the bonnet is closed, and has a smooth route all the way to the turbo inlet for air flow.

As for making a decision, at the end of the day its horses for courses. Cost? Performance? Looks? Sound? Most people seem happy with their choices, so they all seem to work. I added my VF kit after a remap and performance downpipe and noticed a gain in throttle response and grunt. I feel the difference would not have been as noticable without the prior mods. A more enclosed filter would be quieter. I went for the VF because it appeared to be good quality and had good reviews.

....Smooth but with corners/bends in the pipework. I'm not rubbishing the aftermarket intakes but just pointing out the problems or factors which detract from efficiency.

Always great to hear that someone is well pleased with how a mod works.

I'm not necessarily going to further upgrade my intake but am very interested to see what ITG will bring to market when it's ready.

Having done a few more miles with my Evoms, sound aside(which has grown on me), there is a definate improvement in how the car drives, I wasnt sure if there was a difference straight after i fitted, but for some reason I'm noticing it more now.

the problem with the std airbox is its position as well, sat on top of the engine warming the air up as it passes through it
