How do.

Don't know if this is common with petrol turbo's but coming back from work tonight I ended up stopping at some lights for a minute or so and started to notice a hell of a lot of steam coming from the exhaust. I know that even with it being as cold as what it is it's expected its going to steam when the engine is cold but the car had been running for about 20 minutes and up to temp. Noticed that it was doing it when I picked it up as well and it wasn't that cold on that particular day.

Just want to know if it's a common or something I need to worry about. The car was serviced before I picked it up so coolant levels should be topped up but I'll confirm in the morning.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

yeh hot exhaust gases meeting cold air equals steam, dont worry

I'd rather have steam than that awful diesel muck!!



As it happens, I'm of the generation of trainspotters (iPod/iPhone users are today's equivalents!) and I 'spotted' this actual 'Standard'-class locomotive #73096 when she was in service. And no it's not me on the running plate.

[I'm now off to find my treasured Ian Allen trainspotting records book!] Can you imagine what forums would exist online if porn the internet was around in those heady days of steam!

I get this a lot and get it even more so now I have the full Milltek but once she is warm its fine  :happy2:
