Which Clay Bar? (now with finished pics).
mrbeck:
Have finally decided to give my car a proper clean, after several months of neglect. Got loads of crap stuck to the paintwork so I'm in need of a good (but not ridiculously expensive) clay bar to help with the removal process. What would you all suggest is best, and where is best to buy it? Thanks in advance!
stealthwolf:
Best depends on what you need it for.
I would go with Bilt Hamber autoclay soft. Can break it into 4 portions and use one each time for the entire car. Uses water as lube though I still like to use Born Slippy clay lube.
mrbeck:
Cheers for the advice stealthwolf.
Bilt Hamber Autoclay Soft and Dodo Juice Born Slippy Clay Lube now ordered. Will post pics after its cleaned at the weekend!
stealthwolf:
I'd also look at a tar remover eg tardis if you don't already have one. If you have large tar spots, you won't pull them off with the clay - you'll just push it around and cause damage!
What are you doing about polish and LSP?
Grande_GTi:
Im another massive fan of bilt too
For the money its great value, and is also a great product to use, but u may want to work out weather u need the soft, medium or the super bad boy stuff
