John

I do/did the kit for Steve there's two versions..

1. Mk6 / Rocco / FWD cars with alloy rear hubs gets a bracket which enables Golf R/R32/s3 rear caliper/carrier assemblies to bolt straight on

2. Alloy Hubbed 4WD cars such as Golf R/S3 get the same disc but a different bracket due to the shape of the casting, there's also some tricky CNC taking place and the use of some very expensive countersunk fine pitch screws as the 4WD cars leave very little room even for a conventional bolt head. The restrictive nature needs me to use TTS/TTRS carriers as the "throw" is different. TTS/TTRS/S3/Golf and Rocco R calipers as we all know are the same

The TT rear 4WD hubs have enough room for a football match behind there and we do a. Kit which enables separate handbrake calipers and 4 pots on the back (I'll put you down for one for the winter!) in fact anybody wanting to see some R8 ceramics on an S3 just needs to look at Alex's FB page

It all came about as the TTRS staged cars have a pronounced "wiggle" when braking from 3 figure speeds, I originally used the C5 RS6 disc as a donor as its actually lighter than the stock disc even with all the bracketry but they're 600 plus VAT. Dynamically the bigger rear creates huge stability....there's no more cost effective upgrade for a track day TT......sure ultimately for a ultimate lap time you need smaller rears and a loose rear end but for those of us that don't wear a HANS device and a fireproof suit on a Sunday morning blat the stability is welcomed really

So the Phaeton disc got used they are more affordable but need a LOT of work to get them to fit, there's 3/4 CNC processes which it needs to get to a fittable product, they won't even go over the hub as supplied by TPS....

We cut one in half and did a lot of maths before we used it.....

The kits only really on request I don't shout about its availability and tend to supply only where's there's bias issues or reluctantly when pressed by the show crowd as the 310mm discs look like 5 pence pieces behind 19s/20s

And please sort the master cylinder matey, Steve will chuck you one on dead easy....if you like the pedal now you'll love it once you've got one fitted, the 8 pots are giving you lots of modulation which is making them feel good but could do with more fluid for high speed stopping...

How much spacer you running on the front now?

Statller-Stevo:
Hola Dave

Some confusion here
We just simply use your 335's (Hurdy has the last set btw) with your countersunk carrier brackets and TT caliper carriers
We fitted 3 cars up that way so far, one 8PS3 and two Golf R's no need for any other type hubs on the rear of these cars

John has 2mm shims on the front as he strictly requested no spacers  (caliper carrier again modified on the front to centralise the 8 pot and miss his 8/18 TD wheel

Oh and Dave regarding the Ceramics (which I've been drooling over) when are you sending 'The bells' back to Duncan I'm seriously thinking of using those on my RS but I'm not happy about switching to 19's

Thanks for the quick response last week btw

DaveB@Vagbremtechnic:
Now then shhhhteeeeevey....

Don't think I dropped of any of the FWD kits to you matey, they're double handy for Rocco R's which have the alloy hubs AND the 310mm kit as standard....the Mk6 GTI only gets tiny rears but is upgradeable

Duncan's bells are done.....need to laser em up OEM when I ever get two days back to back in the UK....

Hurdy:
Thanks for clearing that up guys. I think I was frustrating Alex a little there without meaning to.
