I agree with pikey think ud b absolutely mental if u sold this for mk 7

dan930:
WHAT....u thinking of trading up to a mk7R :surprised:& start again..

GrayMK5GTI:
Hurdy's car history typically follows these principles:

-buy a well spec'd stock car
- modify it to within an inch of its life
- lots of 1/4 mile runs & Dyno days
- Steve Jnr puts it back to stock
- gets part ex'd for a faster model

And repeat

Mk7 has better haldex, is lighter and probably just as tunable

It's a sensible upgrade as sooner or later boredom will set in with the 6R, may as well swap now  :jumpmove:

The 7R will be at very least as good as his 6R when it's been "Hurdied" and if it were me, I'd be more excited about having a different engine to play with. When you've done 2 high power TFSIs it's sensible to move onto a newer engine.

I'd like another passenger ride before you put it back to stock please John (4th or 5th Nov at Statllers sounds good  :happy2:)

Pikey Motorsports:
it could be many years before there getting big power out of this new engine

untill someone develops a turbo kit

Looks like Nortech performance might be doing a turbo kit for it if John gets a mk7
