Cleaning the engine bay

No. Just spray it. Like I said. Keep the karcher about half a metre from the actual parts. I have karchered numerous engine bays and never had any issues.

right ok ill give it a shot next week thanks dude

JPC:
i always try to cover up the alternator when im doing engine bay work. and obviously any air intakes. foil is a good think to use.

I normally have the engine running whilst rinsing off the engine bay too. makes it less likely for water to settle in any unwanted areas! ;)

NEWEY:
im building up to doing this on the mk2 but im worried i wont get it started again after, as everything is open. Jay what should i look to cover ?

JPC:
alternator is the main one, along with any fuseboxes you might find or delicate exposed parts.

it would be right to say that newer cars are more suitable to cleaning engine bays than older ones.

I dont want to put you off doing it, but do take care! ;)
