Audi TT strut mounts do fit Mk.V and Mk.VI GTI

precision and some minor advantages on cornering. Remember strut mounts are made
from rubber with a steel inlay.

These are stock Golf/GTI strut mounts (and bearings):

TT mounts look almost the same but have two teeth instead of one. The bearings
remain the same (but I'd always get new SKF ones when changing suspension).

I guess they also better withstand the increased forces of uprated suspensions
with deforming giving the bearings a more stable platform and longer life.

I had them fitted 7 months ago and the difference in feel has been clearly noticable.

How are yours holding out Holger?   :happy2:

Beddie:
Hmmm!
Needing to change my top mounts and was just going to go with the GTi version, much difference in price for the TT ones as I'd be interested in these  :happy2:

They still work perfectly, Mike. Guess I never will go for pillow balls.
Thanks again for you help.

I had the chance to talk to an Audi engineer who confirmed that the TT/Cupra
mounts are about 30 % stiffer.

ps:
It's almost the same old story as on the Mk.IV, where you could run the upper
strut mount of the Seat Cupra R on a Golf, which was also stiffer.
From what I remember some guys measured 65 instead of 50 on a durometer.
Guess it will be similar on the current platform.
