Im using mtec grooved. There good because I have porsche pistons  :happy2: Best discs Ive had were EBC with textar and pagid pads  :happy2: The EBC must be close to £200/axle. There must be deals for pad and disc combo

Am using mtec c hook with endless mx72 pads. Awesome performers and streets ahead of the EBC redstuff I tried before. The latter weren’t bad - had good bite with some heat in them / quiet / low dust - but the MX72 are superb. Also use steel hoses / bronze caliper bushes / ATE 200.

The rear fog light is not intended to be a "4th brake light", it should be wired to the front fogs or a dedicated switch. Write-up is good but it would make more sense to have the rear fog light as a functional modification.

Brembo Xtra or Genuine VW Discs or Pads - MK5 Golf GTi
« Reply #7 on: Yesterday at 03:10:59 pm »
Hi everyone, I’m looking at upgrading to Brembo Xtra discs and pads all around on my 2008 Golf GTI. Has anyone here tried them before? Are they worth it, or would you recommend sticking with genuine VW discs and pads instead? Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!
