I do have a few mates working in staffs pol (one even in traffiic!!) so that could be useful. May not be though.

....That might be very useful if we feel that it would be sensible to inform the local Police that we are a harmless bunch of well-behaved car enthusiasts merely meeting up in some number, and hence they would not assume the worst before knowing anything about us. But it's early days yet.

Thanks, and welcome to the forum  :happy2:

I will be ringing campsites on Thursday morning, ones which allow fires and are close to the meet area.

I'm looking forward to hearing their reaction to my enquiry: " Hello there, can we have space for 31 various Volkswagen Audi Group cars and 31 1 man tents please!"

How did you get on?

We all know it's not a rave but Joe Public doesn't. Hence IMO useful to make sure we're doing the right thing, not breaking any laws etc. IMO forewarning the police isn't a bad idea. If someone calls the police, they won't (hopefully) have to waste time and effort to check it out if they are aware of what's going on. my 2p.

MC71:
^^^^ 2p well spent. A good point!

Lets hope that once the venue and campsite are decided upon someone from the area can contact the relevant authorities to let them know we're a harmless bunch of car bores who come in peace with no intention of holding a rave, stealing their daughters of abusing their livestock.
