which gauge

looking to fit a boost gauge, was thinking newsouth, but is psi or bar best? its for a mk5 gti, :drinking:

I have a newsouth gauge in PSI

I like PSI cos it goes around to 21PSI on full bost which counds more than 1.3BAR  :happy2:

if i get the new south gauge from awsome gti and the vent mount, what else is required to make it all work?

Just to sound like an utter pratt.... Anyone help me source and fit a drivers side vent (newsouth?) boost guage to my 1.9 TDI?  :fighting2:

The gauge should come with a fitting kit. But could be worth getting the anti-buzz T-piece aswell.

Just remembered i have another boost gauge that goes to 30PSI with a fitting kit. Can sell it for £40

Not sure about the Diesel one, maybe Awesome GTI would be a good place to look?

Looks like a good bet. Will ask a few friends and meeting someone with VAG Com soon. Hopefully be able to help, never done anything with the turbo before

I have the Newsouth gauge fitted. Its display graphic perfectly matches the OEM Mk5 GTI speedo and rev counter. Measurement in psi gives more accurate increments than bar.

I started off with it in the side vent but found it wasn't so easily visible when driving. Obviously it is visible but so much more so on the steering console. Here's more info and pics for you:

The 'Rolls-Royce' of gauges are those by Defi but they cost a lot more.

Just brought a newsouth gauge with psi measurement. Along with the side vent. Planning to fit this weekend. Can't wait!!
