Stage 2 bluefin K03 4500 flat spot dyno graph inside!
« on: October 01, 2012, 10:23:13 am »
Right to continue from my other thread i was at Falkland performance on saturday and got it rolling roaded and logged on VAGCOM no faults and the fuel presssure was spot on too! Ive  added autotech HPFP internals to my spec and as such it hasnt helped obviously.
Pictures of dyno graph below as you can see it looks spot on until 4500 ish then boom it dies off and tries to recover but just cant this only happens in 4th 5th and 6th and since ive installed stage 2 bluefin.
Anyone have any ideas Kev had me in the car on the rollers keeping an eye on fuel pressures on VAGCOM whilst he dynoed at and the pressure was holding spot on. Only thing we did notice was the reading for the fuel pressure regulator dropped to 0 when it hits the flat spot then it starts to rise again when the car picks up again.

My bet is that your fuel pressure regulator valve is cracking open too soon. It might be worth replacing with one from the rs4 as it doesnt open till 136 bar. Whereas the standard one opens at 130 bar. But if its worn it will open sooner.

I had a flat spot at about 5200rpms but since changing the fuel pressure regulator valve to one from as rs4 it has gone.

Only 240bhp from a claimed 260bhp from superchips?

I'm on stage 2 but had to get it toned down as the standard pump could not deliver enough fuel

I have a flat spot too with the toned down map but looking at your dyno map I may be going revo soon

Baz if you have a look at my map its not a flat spot more of a loss of power as soon as it hit 4500! So I was making 245 bhp at 4500rpm. I have a revised map from them and its better but not perfect so I've left it now and I am going to see dave at PDT next year to get it custom mapped instead of pissing about with plug and play stuff

Looks like cut due to fuel "trims" exceeding +10% could be LPFP fault or blocked filter  you need to log short term fuel trims to see whats going on.

Or it could be a bosch torque reduction routine beccause they have left one of the load axis set stock.

But to pin pint the issues you really need to spend an hour or 2 logging the ecu
