How to fit underseat draws

Parts required to fit Underseat Draws

Draws
Part Number:
- 1K0 882 602J (Right)
- 1K0 882 601J (Left)

Colour Codes
3U6 = Art Grey
31X = latte
7G8 = Pure Beige
71N = Anthracite

Glide Frame (not sure if this part is supplied with the draw or not)

Part Number
- 1K0 882 599B 9B9 (Left)
- 1K0 882 600B 9B9 (Right)


per draw

4x Screws = N 906 986 06
1x Screw = N 909 998 01
1x Bracket = 1K0 881 548A (right) & 1K0 881 547A (left)
2x Pop Rivets 4x8 = N 900 978 02


To start remove the negative from the battery

Using a 10XZN Bit undo the 4x Bolts that hold the seat down

Tilt the seat Back



Fit the correct bracket to the corresponding seat, Line the holes up and rivet it in place


Remove the Draw from the holder, by using a large screwdriver to release the retaining tab


Line up the holes with the the draw (see first pic for holes)




The single screws into the bracket


Slide the draw back in and refit the seat

Torque for Seat bolts is 40Nm

reconnect battery

Take car for a short drive to put lights out on the dash

I wanted to fit these a long time ago but wasn't prepared to sacrifice being able to sit low and improve my centre of gravity (and look like a cool OAP!). I doubt if they fit under Recaro's anyway.

If you've got any pics to add to your original post of them installed in the cabin interior, folks would like that.  :happy2:

This was a strange "How to" as I have just removed them. As I sold them, the buyer wanted some instructions. So I thought it easier to post up here than send them to his email and it will be of use to others
