DIY Bonnet catch Change

Local VW dealer replaced mine last week for £50 including parts & labor.. £180 sounds a bit steep!

Mine had the bonnet not opening problem, so i bought a new release catch thing, fitted it and it worked perfectly, for about 6 bonnet opens. Now its gone back to what it was doing before, any suggestions?

Thought I needed to do this when mine started to freeze up... Ended up soaking it in degreaser and reapplying! Works perfectly now... It's often a case of prevention rather then replacement! Good write up  :party:

Managed to sort mine, turns out i hadnt fitted the cable properly and put it in the groove
