RNS 510

Hi All,

I am thinking of selling my RNS 510 as I am just finished my sound install and it just dont cut the mustard. What should I replace it with??

And the most important question is - What do you think its worth?? Its mint condition, not sure what version or maps as I cant access the hidden menu for some reason

in what way is it not cutting the mustard? What does your install consist of? Have you thought about a jl cleansweep? I would have thought you unit to be worth more than 700 but then again i don't know what they are new now.

Rns 510's are fetching on ebay from £550 to £700 max, so look to recoop at least £625 in good condition for unit only, or if you sell with map disc etc, then you should get more.

lol, ive been sent a replacement Rns510, thats now the correct one. It arrives friday and its the later Version B which is the latest version.
I will report friday if my mfsw controls still inoperative  :signLOL:

lol just re read my post, my RNS works perfectly with my MFSW  but would like the replacement to utilise this function too

My rns510 i bought had a Toureq motherboard inside,which would work my mfsw!, sorry smudger, i thought you had read that and hense your reply  :laugh:

Sorry to crash this thread...Phil, how do you know which is the A and B version, does it say so on the back?

I'm interested in getting an RNS510 :happy2:

My local dealer has offered me a brand new MFD2 but no idea what it looks like, it will come with 2 years warrntly too. :smiley:

it should have a sticker on the caseing after the part number which begins 1TO.... A or B  :happy2:

If it says 7LG, then run a mile lol (toureq motherboard in a Golf Rns510 shell!!.

or if the display is Black screens with white writing, then again it could of been in a toureg as thats the default display colour.

The golf Rns 510 is orange i think. Mines here before 1pm tommorow so can update then.

I think the RNS510 in the R has black sreen with white writing, can't check as at the dealers. :sad:

in that colour scheme, but apparently it may be possible with vcds to change colour schemes.

Mines black with orange I think, but like I said mine works fine with my MFSW. Deffo going to sell mine and replace it now!!! Shame really as I like the oem but hey ho
