R-Tech remap - anything to prepare beforehand or just drive in?

^^^^ if your going Stage 1 then no other mods are needed fella. You can add a CAI and it may give you some extra ponies but that works best in conjunction with a sports cat TBE and if your at that point it's a stage 2 map anyway and then it's HPFP and beyond.....

What's CAI? Stage One will be plenty enough for me.  many people on the forum say get mods first then the remap.  Exhaust and Intake though that may change as I want to focus on handling mods.

scopes:
CAI = Cold Air Intake

Everybody to there own, i prefer to have the mods to help squeeze out a few extra bhp  :happy2:

^^^^ sorry, CAI (Cold Air Intake) or often called an induction kit.  :happy2:

Handling mods are as good as any place to start.  An anti lift kit (WALK or Superpro) will help keep that power down, rear anti roll bar (sway bar) will make a world of difference (Autotech are very good), and some form of engine mount or mounts, I would personally suggest a lower engine mount ie Powerflex - cheap, SuperPro - a wee bit more and THS - the dogs dingles. All IMHO.

Thanks. I'll have a look at the CAI.  I honestly think I'll start on the handling side of things first.  I'll get a superpro anti lift kit.  I must be honest and say I'd rather get a front and rear anti roll bar.  I wouldn't like to have one and not the other.  I need to look into engine mounts.  This is new ground for me.

Sorry but THS???
