3" turbo revs decat downpipe, engine warning light?

Looking at buying a turbo revs decat downpipe for a standard GTI.
After using the search function, i read that it may throw up a warning light on the dash?
Is the above true and if so, would this solve it?
Anything else i should know regarding fitting?

You can get the cel mapped out using stage 2 software.
