hey people want to buy a intercooler just wana find out which i will get the best gains from looking  at the s3 one and the AIRTEC Twin Spec Intercooler

RedRobin:
.
I think that intercoolers best benefits are in improving temperature management rather than delivering quantifiable bhp gains in the same way as an air intake can do for example.

So perhaps your question should be which intercooler is the most efficient and durable. I would avoid the fleeBay Chinese copies even if their prices are as cheap as chips. It's all about the detail build.

It would help if you said which car you want an intercooler for and what its existing mods are. You don't necessarily need one unless you do trackdays or are Stage 2+.

AndyED30:
There's a good review of one type of intercooler here:

And as Robin say's, you should work out if you really need one or not first?

Andy.

jamie_uk:
i want it for a mk5 golf gti i have  a induction kit and a full turbo  back exhaust will be getting a custom map as well once i have a inter cooler. i will be taking the car to the ring and a couple of track days as well

bacillus:
If you're doing the fitting yourself then a S3 one would work well with a k03 car and it's less expensive than most front mounted ones.
If you're having it fitted than it's 3-4 hours labour to fit a S3 one whereas a FMIC should only take about an hour.

It's your choice...
