His gt28 could just have the compressor changed to billet by Owens? A trick turbo upgrade is about 800iirc.
I think that's where you lose alot of time dan, because last time I drove your car that's what I noticed, lag when starting the runs, and then again after each gear change the transient response could be better its like the car took a little while to spool again. I mean once it gets going its quick, but the spool and response is deffo hurting you big time.
That's the beauty of APRs new 2.0tfsi kit, spools like a ko4, mid range like yours and a little more on top? Deffo one for the future now you are 4wd and can make use of all the power. Would knock whole seconds off your 30-130 time when comparing your car to other apr stage 3 2.0tfsi owners

Spools like a K04?
Not what APRs power graphs show! A good 700-1000rpm difference. Mind you, you are right about the GT2871, that is very laggy.
Janner_Sy:
Having driven the APR Golf at K04 and GTx28 setups, im fairly certain there is negligible difference in the spool.
I remember you graphing up a K04 v Dans GT28 back along and there being a big difference, but the new GTx setups are definitely not like that.
Statller-Stevo:
Dans car should be stronger than it is there's no doubt about that! obviously hes got some issues for sure with it
Imho it needs a thorough going through to iron out all the niggles, he doesn't seem confident in it which is a shame after all the time and effort he's spent on it recently, silly things easily fixable I'd guess
A few days tweaking even the current spec would get it running a lot stronger and sweeter and yield much better results, coincidently I offered him some RF to try but he didn't take me up on it
Its time to build something wild that's still streetable, drive it down & give them traylor queens a good run for the money
7 seconds would be a good target time for next year :signLOL:
Btw I overheard a conversation about the gearbox in that AFP Scoob costing 120k alone :stupid:
chungster:
Lol more like £12k Steve Andys not that bonkers. It's a Modena Sequential 6 speeder built by TEG Sport that's able to take all the pounding he dishes out. Looking at the records he's broken in the last 12 months I think he sees that as one of his best investments.
