KW Clubsports fitted on my Ed 30 now with pics!
Msportman:
Following on from a recent trackday at Combe and after consultation from VWR and Awesome I have yet again slid a bit further down the slope by ordering some rather tasty KW Clubsport items from Awesome.
Hopefully they will be arriving next week from Germany for fitment in the near future. I decided on these primarily for greater camber adjustment on the front end when I'm tracking the car. VWR and KW's own advice as that they offer great ride quality and adaptibilty. These should well without a diff but ideally the car will benefit from a Quaiffe at some stage.
Intilally I was going to order the KW3's as having been in a MK5 with these on it was a big step forward from stock and actually more comfortable.
I will post some pictures of the car at some stage but if one of you could or would like to post them on my behalf being a computer technofobe it would make my life easier.
I'm tempted to go the whole hog by putting a big brake set up and going stage 2 with the APR FP and exhaust but I must control myself before get myself in deep water :scared:
Her is a link to a similar kit for the R32:http://www.awesome-gti.co.uk/product.php?xProd=11623&xSec=1070

....I'm afraid that great as good coilovers are, the addition of a Quaife diff really ties the package together. A FWD car such as the Mk5 GTI particularly benefits from a diff when remapped and therefore delivering more power to the road. VW have now recognised this and include an electronic XDS diff on the Mk6 GTI.
Modding is a slippery slope!

I did yes...not cheap though but quality counts.
As for the diff....yep I totally agree.....that and brakes are my next jobs with Stage 2 power.....should be finsihed then into a nice package. Should be a great allrounder.
