It feels unbelievable, i honestly cant believe how hard it pulls. makes me giggle like a small child!!

bushes need looking at and there was something else but i cant remember... check list when i get home.

i had a 245bhp focus RS mk1 and the golf now pulls way harder than that!

much appreciated for recommending Statller  :happy2:

whether i keep this car or get an edition 30 or S3 Statller will be getting jobs from me.

Not really, just told me that it drove like a different car and to enjoy it.

Said that if i wanted big power (350bhp area) that i should go K04 or get an edition 30

Is there a running in period with the new turbo?
Just thinking out loud before you go thrashing the pants off it from day one

afaik you should keep the revs down on a new turbo for a couple hundred miles to allow the bearing to bed in.
Without traction power is nothing!

Im doing this now, keeping it sensible (did get carried away on the trip home once or twice). intend to run a tank of juice through it then see how things are.

will do a couple of thousand miles and have an oil change done.

they did an oil change (should do when ever a turbo is changed) and i took my own oil. I took 5ltr of Millers Nanodrive CFS 5w-40 Full Synthetic

http://www.opieoils.co.uk/p-73732-millers-oils-nanodrive-cfs-5w-40-nt-full-synthetic-engine-oil.aspx

they said its the best stuff to put in.  :happy2: they gave me the bottle back with a little bit to use as top up oil.

Not sure what oil they use, i took my own as i wanted my car using this oil. opie have an offer on if you follow the link. they changed my filters etc.

its worth spending the extra on the millers, as soon as i pickd up the golf i had its oil changed to millers and in 8,000 miles it never needed a top up. also ran much smoother.

after i purchased the millers, i found some interesting research done by performance ford about this oil actually increasing torque and bhp figures... cant say i have noticed anything but im only running stage 1. the focus st that ran the miller nano oil in the mag made 28bhp and 40+lbft of torque more than when they ran halfords oil.  not bad for £70

so... 350 miles done and a tank of fuel gone. filled up saturday morning  and had to nip into work sat morning. Car felt awesome  :driver: was looking forward to my drive home when i knocked my hand on an offce table braking bones in the back of my hand.  :sad1: car has been sat at work since sat morning.

potted up today and told no driving... brought the car home today and was again amazed with how it pulled. with the new turbo and exhaust allowing the engine to run better the clutch has stated to slip (only slightly) . i have had a great week!

so looking into clutch kits... any advice?

also the list that statller gave me of things that will need looking at goes as follows:
off side CV boot outer
rear bushes are eroding
front bushes have slight play.

....The perfect excuse to upgrade to polyurethane bushes instead of replacing the OEM bushes with more OEM bushes.
