Car's looking great Si - the background of this pic just catapults me back to the memory of your mkiv in the same place.
Do you miss the mkiv at all?

Simon_2.0t:
Cheers guys.

Thanks Dave, do I miss the mk4? See it quite regular as a local lad bought it of me. Not really, like all the cars I've owned. I buy them standard, make my mark on them and sell them on when the time is right. The mk5 is a different beast to the 4. Plan was that this was going to be a standard family car with the four doors, , lasted a few weeks before I got the itch again!

Like all my cars takes a while to get the love for the new one. Had this 6mths now and really starting to enjoy it. Once I've done a few more things I'll be happier.

Mine is shocking, can't be arsed with it so its getting a front end respray next year (after the winter of course).

OFF TOPIC.....

Steve, did I see a while back you had a section resprayed? Where did you get the repair/respray done, happy with the quality and colour match?

Yes, mine was done by Stride & Sons in hedge End (So30)Perfect colour match with zero orange peel on paintwork, and they take notes

If I go down that route having my bonnet /wings done, then I will be going back for Defo.

MC71:
^^^^ Cheers Steve, good to hear.  :happy2:

Must be good to see your old car around. I do miss mine, but mainly as I'd never finished it before it was killed by 1-series.

Glad to hear you're enjoying the new one - I'm the same - it was to be standard...
