Gti grill question..

stealthwolf:
The fog grilles are easy - just use a philips head screwdriver and undo the screw, then gently pull out the grilles.

No idea about centre grille - I've been told I can just yank it out but I'd prefer not to damage the paintwork. The proper way is to take the bumper off but too much hassle IMO. I have a mat to sit on and do it on the ground.

Kalpsn2000:
Ok cool.

Might do the lower grill tomorrow then when I change my headlights as the bumper will be off anyway :happy2:

homesqueeze:
Lower grill does just pull off ok. It can take a fair bit of tugging, but it never did any damage when I took it off. Wouldn't want to do it regularly though.

Waxybox:
I always had this problem when detailing mine! I use Dr Beasleys Plastic Sealant with a mini foam applicator which fits nicely! You could just cut a sponge into a hex shape and it will work well tho!

Crash:
Found this stuff to be the best long term solution on plastic trim, takes some time to clean and prep, but the lasting results are worth it! :happy2:
