If your G has been in a while it might be worth taking off to inspect or replace...

I'm thinking I probably will take it off to inspect it. Just wondering what the benefit would be of having G over D as I believe the rev D is the most up to date and robust revision?

Wrong..it's not the the most up to date. It's not fitted to the 2.0tfsi. G is the correct version to fit.

D is the most expensive, but have been known to leak from new, G seems the best all round, but will need replacing at some point.

Think i'll just order a rev G then and replace it anyway as the car is almost 5 years old now. Saves taking it apart to inspect and finding it's knackered and having to refit it.

Thanks

I've tried both D and G, personally prefer the rev G. My car doesn't seem to like the D, doesn't feel smooth upon gear changes, like it's sticking or something...
