Slow to boot up??

Hi all, I've got a problem with the sat nav unit. Its the 510 unit and if I just turn the ignition key it boots up straight away but as soon as I fire up the engine it turns off then takes an age to turn back on. Is this a coding issue or a wiring problem? I thought I had it coded correctly but maybe not. Cheers for any ideas.

Sounds like a wiring issues with the permanent 12v live as it should only take time to boot when it has been fully powered off  :confused:
